BERLIN PRODUCTIONS EXPANDS TO FULL-SERVICE AGENCY
New hires increase 3D modeling and simulation capabilities,
copywriting and marketing services

WHITE PLAINS, NY – June 14, 2004 – Berlin Productions, Inc. (BP) announced today that it has hired two employees -- an animator/designer and a copywriter -- who will allow the company to offer end-to-end services for its clients.

Darnel Degand, lead animator and creative director for multimedia, will round out BP’s existing video, 2D and 3D animation, effects and post-production capabilities. Degand has been an application developer, instructor, and graphic design consultant at institutions such as New York University (NYU) Medical Center, the College of Aeronautics, and AMC Computer Corporation.

“We find that clients are increasingly asking for more interactivity, animation and realistic 3D,” said the company’s founder, Rick Berlin. “Darnel’s expertise in software such as Macromedia Flash, Alias Maya, NewTek LightWave 3D, Softimage/XSI and Adobe After Effects will help us by building on our existing skill set and meeting the higher demand.”

Steven Klapow, BP’s new director of marketing and creative director for copy, will be responsible for generating project scripts for the company’s clients and working with BP’s producers on content development. A video and multimedia industry journalist for 10 years, Klapow most recently served as executive editor of AV Video Multimedia Producer magazine.

“Because Steven was responsible for keeping close tabs on corporate and institutional media production and practices, he knows what kind of copy services our clients need, the kind of messages they need to get across, and the most effective way to communicate,” Berlin said. “Many of our clients are not in the communication business, so having a full-time writer and former reporter on staff will help us deliver the full package, from concept to delivery.”

Klapow will also handle project coordination, as well as all of BP’s marketing, branding and public relations initiatives.
