BERLIN
PRODUCTIONS WINS FIVE ADVERTISING AWARDS
Company takes home two golds and three silvers
in annual competition
WHITE
PLAINS, NY – June 18, 2004 – Berlin Productions,
Inc. (BP) announced today that, for the second year in a row, it
has received five awards from the Advertising Club of Westchester
(ACW). During the ACW’s “Big W” awards competition
gala last week, the company received two gold awards and three silver
awards.
The Big W awards are presented for creative and technical achievement
among advertising agencies, marketing and PR agencies, designers,
copywriters, photographers, illustrators and others who develop
advertising for organizations and businesses in the tri-state region
of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
In the category of Non-Broadcast Video, BP grabbed the gold for
a video that promotes the eRAM, or Enterprise Risk Assessment Manager,
program for the business-information giant D&B (formerly known
as Dun & Bradstreet).
BP’s second gold, in the Commercial or Editorial Illustration
category, was awarded for a series of Pepsi cans illustrated in
photo-realistic 3D for Pepsi Design Group.
Two of BP’s three silver awards are in the category Interactive
Media—Multimedia. The first was given to BP for its development
of the Starbucks Interactive Unit (SIU), an interactive, shelf-mounted
kiosk that educates grocery shoppers about Starbucks coffees available
in supermarkets.
The second silver in this category is for the Murray Benjamin Electronic
Library Kiosk at The Neuberger Museum in Purchase, New York. BP
developed this kiosk to let museum visitors explore information
about the museum’s permanent collection and rotating exhibits
by simply touching a screen. The user interface incorporates styles
similar to those of the modern artists whose works are featured
at the museum.
In the category of Interactive Media—Web Site (Consumer),
BP won its third silver award. The Web site for the Hi-Light Decorating
(www.hilightdecorating.com), a home-lighting retailer in Yonkers,
New York, was developed using Flash.
“It’s always an honor to have your company’s work
recognized,” said BP founder Rick Berlin, “but it’s
even more of an honor when you’ve competed against tremendously
talented companies like those in our area.”
Screen shots and images of BP’s winning projects are available
upon request. For more information about the ACW, visit www.acw.org.
